What is a Christian?

The term "Christian" is often misapplied. It was first given to people in Antioch (Acts 11:26) because they "believed, and turned unto the Lord" (Acts 11:21). Many today who have never accepted Jesus as their Savior call themselves Christians just because they have some belief in the Bible.

The Bible makes it clear that by natural birth we are sinners, and that there is no such thing as a "non-born-again Christian." Jesus said, "Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God" (John 3:3). You see, only when a person accepts Christ as Savior does he receive new spiritual life (Ephesians 2:1).

Have you turned in faith to the Lord? If so, you are a Christian - you've been born again! If you haven't accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord of your life, you aren't a Christian. Why not become one today. (DB)
